3 tsp Baking Powder
3 Cups Sugar 2 tsp Nutmeg 1-1/2 Cups Sour Whipping Cream 2 tsp Soda 1-1/2 Cups Buttermilk 9 Eggs 2 tsp Salt
Mix Flour, Salt, Baking Powder and Nutmeg.
Dissolve Soda in Sour Whipping Cream and Buttermilk.
Beat Eggs, add Sugar, add Sour Whipping Cream and Buttermilk, then Flour.
Roll and cut out - SOFT dough.
Deep fry to a golden brown in melted lard. In a pinch, you could use oil or Crisco® instead.
