JUNO'S DOUGHNUTS

 Cups Flour

  3 tsp Baking Powder
3 Cups Sugar   2 tsp Nutmeg
1-1/2 Cups Sour Whipping Cream   2 tsp Soda
1-1/2 Cups Buttermilk   9 Eggs  
2 tsp Salt   
 Mix Flour, Salt, Bak­ing Pow­der and Nut­meg.
 Dissolve Soda in Sour Whip­ping Cream and Butter­milk.
 Beat Eggs, add Sugar, add Sour Whip­ping Cream and Butter­milk, then Flour.
 Roll and cut out - SOFT dough.
 Deep fry to a golden brown in melted lard.  In a pinch, you could use oil or Crisco® instead.




I won­der if she didn't cut this recipe for home use.  It was the one she always used at the cake shop she worked in.   -- Bonnie
